Omakase means “I’ll leave it to you”. Pick a platter size, skip the menu, and I’ll build it the way I would for my own table. Usually a mix of what’s best that week and one thing you would not have picked yourself.
If you prefer the surprise and creativity of omakase style, I’ll be more than happy to choose for you.

Hi, I’m Migle, the person behind Megumi.
I’ve been making sushi for almost a decade, with years of experience working as a professional sushi chef in restaurants. Sushi has always been something I genuinely love, and Megumi started from a simple idea: to bring the quality and experience of restaurant sushi into a small, personal home kitchen.
Megumi, Homemade Sushi is based in Salford, where I make every platter myself, by hand and fresh to order. I use the techniques and experience I’ve gained working in restaurants, but with a more personal approach. No big kitchen, no mass production, just me making your sushi with care.
I want Megumi to feel a little different from ordering takeaway. Restaurant-level sushi, made fresh and enjoyed in the comfort of your own home.
Megumi is fully registered with a 5-star Food Hygiene Rating, and everything I make is halal.

The practical bit
- How do I order?
- Build your platter on this page, then send it as an Instagram DM to @megumi.mcr, on WhatsApp or on Facebook. I’ll reply to confirm your order.
- When can I collect?
- Thursday to Sunday. Other days are sometimes possible, so just ask when you order and I’ll let you know.
- Where is pick-up?
- Salford, M5. It’s my home, so the exact address is shared privately once your order is confirmed. It won’t be shown on the website or Instagram.
- How much notice do I need?
- Everything is made fresh to order, so booking ahead is recommended, especially for Family and Party platters. Weekend slots can fill up quickly.
- Is it halal?
- Yes. Everything I make is halal.
- I have an allergy.
- Please tell me in your order message. The menu tags show fish, shellfish, chicken and nuts from the ingredient lists. If you have any other allergies, just ask and I’ll let you know what’s suitable.
- Can I change my mind?
- Just message me. Nothing is made until close to your pick-up time.
- How do I pay?
- I’ll confirm the payment details when I reply to your order.
